Description
Description
A maple floating shelf brings a calm, even surface to a wall. Maple is prized for its smooth, close grain and pale, consistent tone, the kind of wood that brightens a room without competing with anything in it. Because we build each one to order, it arrives at the exact length and depth your wall calls for rather than the nearest size a store happened to stock: as slim as 1.25 inches for a clean ledge, up to a bold 7 inches with real presence, cut to your measurement down to the eighth of an inch. It holds the books, the framed photographs, and the everyday things a room gathers, and it looks settled there because it was made for that wall and no other.
Underneath, it is solid hardwood construction, and what carries it is a hidden Studlock steel bracket — included with every shelf and matched to the size you order, so you never have to guess which bracket fits. The support does the work and takes none of the attention: you see maple and whatever you set on it, not a screw, not a corbel, nothing propping it up. Fastened properly into the studs, the bracket holds up to fifty pounds per stud, ready for a full row of hardcovers or a season of everyday display. Finish it to match the room — leave it Unfinished to seal yourself, or choose Natural Clear Coat, Brazilian Cherry, or Pickled White.

Product is very nice quality! Easy and sturdy installation due to the bracket on the back. The shelves are gorgeous!
I don’t quiet know if i made the mistake or they did in measurement, but shelves are too thick and too short. Regardless, it was so expensive, and took so long that i’m not sure if i should attempt to reorder. Customer service was a little weird. She did end up answering my questions but with a lot of unnecessary attitude! So not sure what to think of this company. I’m sure i have lots of other options but i did decide to take a chance ob them ironically based on their short lead times. I’ll reserve full judgment for now. But proceed with caution.
The quality of the Ultra Shelf was very impressive! Being able to quickly receive samples made my decision a sure one. My contractor who hung the 90” shelves was very impressed with the bracket system. I highly recommend.
Absolutely stunning. Easy to install.I used them to flank a Seville Classics UltraHD workbench, and they look fabulous together, both in terms of just wood color and thickness, but in the cleanliness of design and sharpness. It’s a little unfortunate it didn’t have a polyurethane coat for that price, heck for that price I’d gladly pay, what, $15 more for a poly coating. But I just threw on a quick one myself.Still love the shelves, they literally get more compliments than the workbench so go figure.Install bracket is brilliant design, practically idiot proof, and I was able to install exactly to an arbitrary spot on the wall, no problem at all to catch two studs.
I was so excited to get these shelves and have them be the finishing touch to my kitchen remodel. I was so disappointed by the coloring/stain effects they arrived. Nothing like the photos, which i understand, the true color can be difficult to display on a computer screen but these were vastly different from the photos. I was really bummed because they are non-returnable and they were so expensive to begin with.
Although I wasn’t able to put them in the room I had envisioned, or the way I envisioned setting them up, they really turned out well and I am so pleased. Even the handyman who put them up for me was impressed!
These shelves are not worth the expense. I was very disappointed when they came, very blah! Not really anything "custom" about them. The wood is very low end and the finish is almost non existent. When I reached out for a return I was told there was a 50% restocking fee. The shelves at Target are better and 1/10th the price. The pictures online show a much higher end product than what you actually receive.
Ultra Shelf is the Best ...fast delivery, perfect item , everything fits like a glove...easy to install....everything we wanted
We were having a hard time finding a modern shelf for our fireplace mantel that was the right size. We ordered one from you and it is perfect! It was delivered in the time frame promised and adds so much to our new fireplace. Thank you!!
Look great and was easy to install.
Not only are these exactly what I was looking for, but the hanging system they’ve designed is amazing. Super sturdy, perfectly flush with the wall, and we’re incredibly easy to install. I am so happy I found these.
The shelves are beautiful, sturdy, and look great.
Fantastic! Easy ordering process, quick delivery, super high quality wood, and easy installation. These shelves are gorgeous and gave our kitchen the finishing touch it needed. I love these shelves and would highly recommend them to anyone. The top-notch quality and easy installation is well worth the price.
Easy to install, very sturdy and look gorgeous.
Bought this shelf for my bathroom when I was having my vanity refaced after installing a beautiful new shower. My contractor finished the shelf to match the re-facing wood and it is beautiful. The finishing touch! Ordered through the contractor, it would have cost at least $100 more! And, the mounting hardware makes it as sturdy as the kitchen shelves the contractor installs. Great quality and arrived so quickly!
These shelves look amazing. You can tell the wood is high quality and finished nicely. The brackets are pretty straightforward to install and the shelves just slip right on. We put up 3 in the kitchen and will certainly be buying more for future projects too!
The shelves are heavy and beautiful and the customer service when we had to make a change could not have been better!
I was looking for a natural maple shelf to match my new cabinets. I am so pleased to have found ultra shelves online. They were made to order, they look beautiful, our carpenter complimented the design and quality as well as the ease of installation.
