DIY Drilling Jig for DIY Brackets

Drilling straight, perfectly aligned holes for hidden bracket rods by hand is hard — this jig makes it repeatable. It is an aluminum drilling guide built for our Studlock DIY Bracket: it screws to the back of your shelf (two screws included) and holds your bit square, so the support-rod holes come out straight and land exactly where the bracket rods need them. Pair it with our DIY routing jig, which locates where the drilling jig should sit so the holes line up with the bracket, and drill those holes before you rout the back of the shelf — once the recess is cut, the guide no longer fits inside it. Use it with our 9/16-inch DIY auger bit; other bits may not fit the jig.
